Autumn Trees

I didn’t know this when I started learning 3D, but apparently trees are notorious for ruining lives. I agree with the sentiment because the effort to make a good-looking stylized tree haunts my every waking moment.

These were more an attempt to create concept art that I stuck closely to than they were an attempt to make trees. It mostly worked out, but I didn’t know much about the intricacies of UV unwrapping or how Blender’s painting worked when I made these, so they could definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint to match the concept more closely.

I also learned about particle systems just as I was finishing these, so I was able to scrape together a little animation you can see in the video renders!
